Discover the programme of the WeLaR final conference

We are pleased to announce that the programme for the final WeLaR conference, “The effects of digitalisation, globalisation, climate change and demographic shifts on labour markets and welfare states in the European Union”, is now available.

Join us in Brussels at the Thon Hotel EU on 12 June 2025 for a full day of discussion and insight into the social and economic transformations shaping the future of work and welfare.

The conference will begin with a keynote address from Professor Francesco Vona (University of Milan), followed by a series of six sessions:

  • Digitalisation, automation and the future of work
  • Training, qualifications and social innovations
  • Technological change and work
  • Climate change, green transitions and labour markets
  • Social policy, welfare preferences and inequality
  • Remote work, telework and new work modalities

Participation in the conference is free of charge, but registration is required. Please complete your registration via this link before 5 June 2025.
