Join the WeLaR webinar “Social Innovations in/with/for the Welfare State in Rural Areas” organised in collaboration with the European School of Social Innovation. The event explores how local initiatives address demographic change, globalisation, rural development, regional inequality, and workplace mental health. These innovations go beyond filling service gaps, reshaping state, market, civil society, and family roles to tackle local challenges, particularly for disadvantaged groups. Rural initiatives, for example, range from combining new resources to addressing inequalities caused by current social policies.
The webinar will take place 3 June 2025, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm CET and feature the following presentations:
Franziska Görmar (Leibniz-Institut für Länderkunde and project DICES) will provide comments by discussant.
After all presentations, there will be a Q&A session, offering participants the chance to engage with the speakers.
