Project WeLaR will host the webinar “The Fiscal Effects of Immigration” on 9 December, from 11 am to 1:30 pm CET. Organised by ZEW Mannheim, the event will bring together researchers and experts to discuss the financial implications of immigration for European economies.
The webinar will feature presentations by:
Giacomo Boffi, Leiden University: “Decomposing the Net Fiscal Position of Migrants in Europe”
Hend Sallam, Humboldt University of Berlin: “Local Fiscal Effects of Immigration in Germany”
Holger Stichnoth, ZEW – Leibniz Centre for European Economic Research: The Fiscal Contribution of Foreigners in Germany”
Dominik Sachs, University of St.Gallen: “The Indirect Fiscal Benefits of Low-Skilled Immigration”
Each presentation will be followed by a short discussion.
