WeLaR to hold webinar on remote work on 27 November

Project WeLaR invites you to the webinar “From Home to Office: The Complexities and Benefits of Remote Work”, on 27 November 2024, from 11:00 am to 1:05 pm CET. Organised by LISER, this event will feature discussions on the evolving landscape of remote work and digitalisation, focusing on workforce dynamics, labour market resilience, employee well-being, and changing demand for skills.

The webinar will feature presentations by:

  • Ludivine Martin, LISER, CREM, IZA: “Consequences of the Expansion of Working from Home and Digitalisation on Teleworkers’ Work Intensification, Well-Being, and Mental Health” (co-author Laetitia Hauret, LISER)
  • Sarra Ben Yahmed, University of East Anglia: “Local Labour Market Resilience: The Role of Digitalisation and Working from Home” (co-authors Francesco Berlingieri, European Commission, Joint Research Centre and Eduard Brüll, ZEW)
  • Espen Olsen, UiS Business School: “Remote Work and Its Effects on Workplace Well-being: Results from a Norwegian Panel Study”
  • Christina Langer, Stanford Digital Economy Lab: “Working from Home and Skill Demand: Evidence from Germany” (co-author Jean-Victor Alipour, Institute for Economic Research, LMU Munich)
  • Each presentation will be followed by a 10-minute discussion.
